MY HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE IN BALI

My name is Alyaa Qistina. I am 11 years old. My favourite vacation that I can remember was when I visited Bali, Indonesia.  I went there with my parent on December 2014. It is a beautiful island located in the South Pacific Ocean near Malaysia.  It was three hours to get there from Malaysia, but once we were there, we relaxed on the pure white sands of the beach and enjoyed the rest of my vacation.     

 

                                       

               

 We arrived in Bali at 06.00 o’clock in the morning after we took up a long flight. My mum already booked hotel before arrived in Bali. We stayed in a Hard Rock Hotel, Kuta near the beach in the town.  The weather was warm and sunny every day. The hotel had lagoons and swimming pools with beautiful blue coloured water. They also had a huge waterpark so I could enjoy activities there.  I had a lot of fun splashing water around. Well, the unfair feeling went away on the next day when we spent a whole day enjoying and relaxing in the hotel, in particular, around the swimming pools. I swam underneath a waterfall, dived deep into the pool bottom of two meters deep. The water slides produced lots of excitement to me. I kept on sliding and sliding, with my heads up, heads down, bottoms up and bottoms down

                   On the third day, we continued the trip to the first place that we wanted to visit. We arrived in Tanah Lot in early morning. I am very happy because never saw the breath taking view like that before. But i was just a moment there because had to continue our trip in the other places. The second place is in Pasar Sukawati. The sellers in there were very kind and the things that sell were very cheap. My mum does a lot of shopping when we were in Pasar Sukawati.

 

                      The most beautiful place is Bali which has a great view which is Kuta beach. I met many tourists in there took many nice pictures with one of them. The scenery around the hotel was great too. It was located at the edge of a bluff facing the ocean. A big rock was lying at the coast-line at the beach beneath the bluff with waves striking them repeatedly. It was spectacular. The bad thing is that it was unsafe to swim there; otherwise I would have swum in the Indian Ocean - for the first time ever.

Food is good in Bali too. The hotel buffet breakfast was one of the best I ever have and there were little repetition for my three days stay. In particular I enjoyed the papaya juice and mango yogurt very much. My father couldnt stop eating too. Though my mum often persuades him not to eat too much, he and i couldn't do that this time for the food was so delicious. I found the best passion fruit I ever have and my mum managed to bring some home too.

        Bali was more than just sunshine and beach. That afternoon, I went to see some   culture of Bali. I saw Bali buildings and temples, walked through Balinese local markets fruits and vegetables, birds and monkeys, and even fighting cocks. 

We arrived on time at the Sea God Temple (Tanah Lot) trying to catch the famous sunset scene. It had not disappointed me. But more than that, I found the landscape was also very beautiful. I am very excited with a big of bats flying out from a sea cave nearby at the moment the sun fell below the horizon. 

I was blissful for visiting Bali to spend my holiday. That was an awesome experience to visit Bali. I will never forget many beautiful places that I saw in Bali. I hope that I can visit another beautiful place besides Bali for enjoying my next long break school holiday with my parent.
